Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – Chosen by the pastor to distribute Holy Communion during the Mass and other functions. (Must have received sacrament of Confirmation
Lectors – Proclaim the Word of God during the liturgies of the parish.
Ushers – Help in welcoming those who come to the Eucharist and also in maintaining order during the liturgical celebrations..
Music Ministry – Help with songs of praise during the Eucharist and other community celebrations.
Altar Society – Help with Church décor, cleaning, and care of the vestments.
Altar Servers – Serve the Mass and help facilitate the liturgical actions needed for the Eucharist (must have received their First Communion).
RCIA – The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults helps in the instruction and accompaniment of those considering joining the Catholic Church or entering into full communion through the sacraments.
Religious Education – Are the catechists of our community who work with the Director of Religious Education and the Pastor in order to prepare members of our community for the Sacraments.
Adult Ongoing Formation and Evangelization – Help in developing a program of instruction for the members of our community.
Legion of Mary – Promote evangelization of our community under the guidance and inspiration of our Blessed Mother.
Youth and Young Adults’ Ministry – Develop programs for our youth and young adults in order to help them be active and knowledgeable members of the Church.
Cana of Galilee Ministry – Help the parish couples who are preparing for marriage to understand better this special sacrament and develop ways to continue to help couples to grow in their love and connection to the parish.
Ad Gentes Communication Ministry – Help with the development of our website and outreach
Church Health Education Awareness Program - The mission of this ministry is to guide the congregation of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos in using their spiritual beliefs to improve and maintain their physical and mental health. The ministry carries out this mission through health counseling, referral services, advocacy, health promotion, and disease prevention teaching, safety awareness training, and spiritual support.
History and Heritage Ministry – Prepare for special celebrations related to our parish history.
Home Visitation and Communion Ministry - Brings communion to the sick and home bound on a regular basis and provides company to those who are ill and unable to come to the Eucharist in our parish.
Seelos Ministry of Hope – Assist those who need special help due to a financial problem or crisis.
St. Gerard Ministry – Special ministry to the deaf..
Knights of Peter Claver – Council 392 supports and helps the parish grow in awareness of Church ministry and social concerns.
Courage Ministry – Ministry to those with same sex attraction.
Open Arms Caring Ministry - Helps people who need support due to any kind of loss related to death, illness or financial difficulties by offering a weekly support group that meets every Monday after the 8:00am Eucharist.
Pro Life Ministry – Promote activities and teaching that foster a better understanding of the teaching of the Church related to human life and the dignity of every person.
Special Events and Culture – Help in the planning and development of fund raising activities that foster community and also the arts.
